photoblog image Windows and Doors

Windows and Doors

A series of architectural shots from around Kolkata, India. These were all taken this past January, 2010. It might appear as though I did some selective coloring here, but this building was really that dark and colorless except for the windows.

Fabulous decay reflecting the fading of the European culture in India.
The yellow, blue and green details look so strange....I can understand your comment about selective coloring wink

Beautiful old architecture. A plant has discovered it too.
Although it is sad to see the decay, this is a good picture
Lovely colours contrast and details here!
That has certainly seen better days Charles.
Lovely architecture .. I hope this is not from the recent fire though sad

A remarkable piece of architecture. Those yellow things on the right ... are those birds? What kind? All I ever see over here are pigeons.

Very nice shot - intriguing architecture, that the Indians are letting decay (perhaps rightly so?) and at the same time maintain, as the blue windows tend to indicate.
