Costa Rican Wildlife

About a month ago I went to Costa Rica for a week-long vacation. It was a much needed vacation as I had been working feverishly for the previous few months trying to finish a chapter of my dissertation. I am going to transition now to do a series of shots from the trip.

This first one is a picture of a white-headed capuchin monkey. I took it in Manuel Antonio National Park on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. This was about 5 days into the trip. We went walking through the forest preserve with a nature guide and saw monkeys like this one swinging and playing through the trees.

What a beautiful close-up that you have captured here! How interesting it would be to be in a locale where monkeys like these swing freely and out in the open; unlike in Chicagoland where we have to see them in cages.

Looking forward to this series.
Lovely! I've always had a soft spot when it comes to monkeys.

I've been to this place and I wonder if you see the crabs in the jungle all come out at once when you walk down the trail to the beach. When we were there, a number of years ago there was not much to eat but rice and beans and a slab of fish on the shacks on the beach...it was so delicious...
Sorry to go on like this but is this beautiful creature the one who woke me up each morning?
This animal always amaze me .. they are really wonderfull . And now you catch a very beautiful look .
A wonderful picture. I would like to go to Costa Rica. Have a nice day Charles
