Costa Rican Wildlife

On my third day in Costa Rica I took a twilight walking tour at the Monteverde Cloud Forest. While on the walk our nature guide took us around a pond filled with these poisonous frogs. They were mating and so making lots of noise as they called out to each other.

For more animal shots from my trip go here.

Hmm looks like they are having fun, they look like the cane toads which are a big problem in Australia. Great shot.
Great photo of the frogs! These look like the bufo marinis (cane toads) that I used to see in Miami when I lived there.
are those the kind you lick and get stoned? lol a nice pile of happiness there if so, great shot smile

Really good shot, but they are uglysmile
This looks like a manage-a-trois to me, Charles.

I don't care for the poisonous part, but I do like their brilliant color.

Been to Monteverde too and unfortunately, I didn't see much wildlife but for a few sloth and insects (and mosquitoes!). I heard about these frogs (toads?) though.
Wow this is truly amazing. The detail here.. in this collage of frogs is superb!
