Whats a kangaroo doing over there smile
Charles Dastodd: Sooo....this is actually atop the Australia Gate, which is one of three gates surrounding the Victoria Memorial, along with the Canada Gate and the South Africa Gate.

J'aime beaucoup ton cadrage et le traitement très adéquat de cette sculpture.
Young Prince Charles and his pet joey smile
Charles Dastodd: lol no doubt wink
Again I am full of praise for your untouristy attitude to these photographs.

Awesome framing and treatment is very beautiful. Good day.
As always, you've chosen such a superb angle for this shot, Charles, especially as this statue on the column must be around 20-30 feet in height. I think this was one of the statues to celebrate the commonwealth.

Beautifully captured against that glorious sky, and another gem of yours.
Charles Dastodd: Yeah, I believe it is on top of the Australia Gate smile

Not a native animal of the UK that's for sure! This detail sis something I've not seen before (mind you.. don't often go close to the place as there are too many American tourists smile smile )
Charles Dastodd: lol. there were definitely way too many Americans, even for me. Something about London in June wink

Nice closeup!

I thought the English Parliament really looked like the Canadian Parliament -- or rather the other way around.
I'm really enjoying this alternative view of London Charles.

You're on the road again? You're so well-traveled. I like how the sculpture could be part of the fluffy, white clouds.
Nice background and a special glow to the statue that I like - you inspired me to look up one of my "old" pictures of a statue. And to be honest, I find it very difficult to take "good" pictures of statues - what ever you read in "good" wink
