This is around the corner from my apartment in Hyde Park, Chicago. It is the famous old boulevard on Chicago's Southside, known as the Midway Plaisance.  It forms a long, beautiful park through the University of Chicago and was the original site of the World Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893. The Midway, as it is locally known, is about a mile long and was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, connecting Washington Park to Jackson Park.

Huge feeling of depth Charles.
Nicely captured. The feel of depth is imminent. smile
I must say it is an often photographed spot. If I was to visit Chicago I would take one too and then spend some time with "the bean".
Very nice! Classic composition.

Wow I guess I am late seeing this but was searching blizzard pics, winter etc.. and this is just an amazing shot. I like the toning and how the path dissolves into a fog behind the man.
you have rally manage to create a cool mood in this image.
It's a lovely b&w shot. Tonal gradation is just great!
